In response to your requests, our May performance will become a true Pops Concert, featuring music from the Broadway stage and classic films. Movie music by John Williams and Leonard Bernstein will be heard together with a medley of songs by Lerner & Loewe, Rogers & Hart, Berlin, Loesser, and Kern, all interpreted by the star of our 2003 Concert in the Park, Mara Bonde.

It’s been 250 years since the birth of Mozart, but his music continues to captivate audiences. Highlighting our joyous birthday celebration will be the return of Cape Ann favorite David Deveau. Artistic Director of the Rockport Chamber Music Festival and nationally-renowned Concert Pianist, performing Mozart’s delightful Piano Concerto No. 22.

Making a joyful return this year will be Choral Leader Wendy Betts with the Cape Ann Symphony Singers, performing excerpts from Handel’s Messiah. This concert sold out last year. Subscribers are always guaranteed a seat.

of all ages. Members of the orchestra will demonstrate solo passages, and Maestro Udagawa will explain and demonstrate the history and structure of these orchestral classics.

Crowd-pleasing Violinist Irina Muresanu will return to Cape Ann to headline this salute to American composers, performing the Barber Violin Concerto. Also heard will be a new work by Tom Vignieri, his second commission by the Symphony. The concert concludes with the quintessential American orchestral work The Grand Canyon Suite.
